Chinese anti cancer herbs dog cookie recipe

I found a cookie recipe for feeding these Stasis Breaker and Wei Qi Booster Chinese cancer herbs to them, and they like the cookies. I crumble the cookies in with the meal, with that much less dry dog food. But she seems to also like them by themselves. Here’s that recipe for anyone who so desires it if you cannot get them to eat the herbs in their regular food. Keep in mind that many vets recommend a high fat content when treating cancer, since cancer cells grow best with carbohydrates as fuel, but they don’t grow well at all with fatty foods. The peanut butter in the recipe is a high fat food -medium protein and low-med carb(don't know what to do about that carb and still have tastiness). Here’s the recipe:

Peanut Butter Meringue Cookies. Makes 16 cookies

Let 3 eggs warm to room temperature (for easy whipping)
 Separate the whites from yolks, the whites will be whipped. The yolks I save to give as a cooked treat.

In one bowl:
 Whip egg whites
 Add the meds in question into the whipped egg whites (In this recipe I add 2 days worth of the herbs. probably could add 3 days worth)

In another bowl:
 add 1/4 cup of molasses
 add 1/4 cup of hot water
 add 1 cup peanut butter
 whip all that

add the peanut butter stuff to the egg white stuff, and whip more

spoon a teaspoon full of the mix onto a cookie sheet as one cookie. I put 8 onto a cookie sheet at at time, making two batches.
 bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
 do the next batch.

They actually taste quite good. Just a faint taste of the herbs, which taste awful to me anyway. Mostly they taste like peanut butter. The meringue adds some substance to them and bring up the protein -so they bake well. It's still has reasonable protein and fat overall, so the sugar/carb isn't horrible. 
But again, this is just stuff to try if they simply won't eat the powder in their regular food.

More Tips on getting dog to eat all these herbs

The two Chinese Herbal Stasis Breaker 'tumor buster' and Wei Qi Booster immune booster powders look like and taste like dirt. 

It was a challenge to figure out how to get Lucy to eat them initially. Due to her sensitive stomach issues, I had been experimenting with pan fried with a little garlic and white chicken meat or ground turkey or ground beef)  mixed with some kibble). I make a chicken or turkey or beef + broth slurry as a base to mix the herbs into.

It takes a lot of work, but if you would do anything to keep your pet well, the following has been working well for us after much trial and error. It does take some time twice a week to make a batch up for use every meal and last for a few days.

The main thing is to find anything to get your pooch to gobble up the herbs up as an appetizer when she is the most hungry before the regular meal. However, Lucy will now eat the herbs mixed into her plain dry food with a little broth and a handful of meat. 

IF YOU NEED TO BUT IT WILL HAVE CARBS: I also found this an easy way to get Lucy to eat the herbs. I mix the herbs into about a 1/4 cup of yogurt and she really goes for it before her regular meal. 

OR ...: I’ve found that mixing the herbs very well with about 1/3 cup of hamburger and then hand feeding chunks also works well if necessary.

When concerned about him not eating well/enough – I will chop up some hardboiled eggs into her food – she really likes it. 

I now give an egg at every meal with a little meat and kibble. Got to have high protein, medium fat, low carb food  to an anti cancer diet and it HAS to be tasty to get them to keep eating all these pills and powders.

This is a lot of work for sure, but it has been working for us, and I have gotten a tremendous sense of satisfaction knowing all my efforts have helped keep Lucy doing well.

The Chinese Veterinary Herb web site has many different formulas for many different health conditions for large and small animals – and they are a LOT cheaper than pharmaceutical drugs and in our case – offered hope and success where western “mainstream” medicine had none. Your Veterinarian can consult with the TCVM Herbal website and get recommendations for a formula that might help your pet with a variety of conditions. These chinese herbs are only sold through vets. Your vet has to order them from that site.  Lucy is using Stasis Breaker (a tumor buster) and Wei Qi Booster (an immune booster) herbal powders that I put on her evening meal. The price will of course put you off because this medical industry marks up alot, but it does seem to work. And it's cheaper and easier than radiation or chemo.

Holistic Vet visits Lucy at home April 18, 2011

After much research, I find that her path to Quality of Life will not be radiation or chemotherapy. It buys so little time in a dogs life. Remember they age 7 times as fast, so cancers timeline path is 7 times as fast as humans. It MIGHT buy a few months to maybe 8 months *on average*, and your dog will not feel good and it will surely stress them out. Surgery cannot be done on nasal cancer so you cannot remove it and buy time like with some other cancers. Plus, not to sound harsh as I love her dearly, I breach the subject of cost to you of a few weeks of radiation can be thousands of dollars (as in $8K to $10K) and is not done just anywhere. Usually quite a drive to a treatment center usually (unless you live right in a large city or university) and has to be done for a few weeks. Stress and anesthesia(the dog must be verrrry still) for the dog for many days.

I will be going back and forth creating and editing posts previous to this post and some that follow because of my late start on creating this dog cancer blog discussion group. There is sooooo much research I have done, and, as of March, 2012, she is in remission. 12 months after nasal cancer diagnosis. Not only no symptoms at this point but also many months past her so called 'shelf life' expectancy. Wow is right.  I now really feel the need to help others by sharing the information. Information not usually given by regular vets, holistic vets, or it seems oncologists. Even Holistic vets don't use every trick in the book. Not my practitioners, nor many of the people who talked about their journeys I tearfully followed on the many support groups on the web.


I used E. All of the Above, except for of course radiation or chemo.


I wanted to work with a holistic vet because this was the sort of path we were taking and to also verify the hundreds of hours of research I did  trying to pull together all the information into some sort of summary dog cancer treatment from the hundreds of websites, discussion groups, dog cancer clinical trials, etc. on supplements and alternative treatments or even black box prescription medications (a med used for treatment of something not labeled or FDA approved for ).


The holistic vet came and felt I was giving too many supplements and wanted me to just give her 2 herbal formulas that cost $90 a bottle. Ack. Plus, not much confirmation on my research. But Linda at Gold Country Holistic Vet is great very nice vet. Please use her if you live in Nevada County. So after she left I researched the 2 Chinese herbal formulas that I didn't buy because I wanted to think about it. They were " Wei Qi Booster ", an immune system booster, and " Stasis Breaker ", a tumor 'buster'. Anecdotal evidence and testimonials about these were found and I researched each herb in the powdered formulas. Looked good. But I still was going to give Lucy EVERYTHING else. Not taking any chances.


There will be much more to come about Yunan Bai Yao to stop the bleeding itself, Low dose Naltrexone, Antioxidents and when to give them, immune boosters (why give chemo when it will also kill the immune system?), Budwig diet, dog food reviews that align with general cancer needs and more.
